What to put in a dental CV
- One page as a student or intern. Two pages only once you have real work experience.
- Numbers for your clinical work. "40 root canal treatments, including 12 molars" says more than "experienced in endodontics". Take them from your case log, not from memory.
- Two or three case highlights you can show with photos when asked. A portfolio of documented cases is the strongest thing a new dentist can bring to an interview.
- Courses with the provider and year, so they can be checked.
- Licence and registration (for example your syndicate or council registration) once you have it.
- A photo only where it's expected. CVs in Egypt and the Gulf often have one; in the UK, the US and much of Europe, leave it out.
- No patient names or identifiable photos, ever, in a CV or portfolio.

Can I edit it in Word?
This version is made to edit on the page. If you need a Word file, copy the text into your own document with the same sections.
